NURSE CALL SYSTEMS

WHAT ARE NURSE CALL SYSTEMS? HOW DO THEY WORK?

Nurse call systems are designed to help elderly or disabled people who are at risk of falling or injuring themselves to live independently on their own whilst having the peace of mind that help is at hand if they ever need it. The system includes a two-way communication system that links the individuals residence with their pre-selected contacts.

The systems are intelligently designed and can include alerts for environmental changes in the residence, including floods, fire, and gas leaks. As well as this, carers for people that have dementia can be alerted when the person leaves the house. Similarly the system can be set-up to monitor blood pressure, medication dispensing and have a bogus caller button.

WHY DO YOU NEED?

While nurse call systems allow the elderly or disabled to live independently they also allow those who care for them to remain contactable and aware of their well-being whilst being able to go about other tasks. The systems means that fewer nurses or carers are required to monitor a large number of individuals from a remote location rather than regularly visiting a number of locations.
