Access Control Systems

WHAT ARE ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS & HOW DO THEY WORK?

An access control system provides security to premises by allowing flexible control over who is able to get into the building and at what times. With electronic access control you will never have to change a lock again. Cards are issued that allow access via the controlled doors, and if they are lost or stolen they can easily be barred from the system, disabling entry through the controlled doors.

Access control offers flexible control over users' access clearance. You may choose to enable a user access to the building through the main door, but restrict access for that user to specific areas of the building internally. It is also possible to vary users' access according to the time of day, meaning users may granted access to areas during specific time-windows.

Depending on what system you choose to implement, the access control system can be used to monitor and report upon all access, and attempted access. This provides you with a full overview of the traffic to and from your premises, and can flag up any attempted breaches of the access control system.

WHY DO YOU NEED ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS?

Access control systems save you the cost and ongoing security risk of traditional lock and key installations. Having an access control system will not just secure your premises and the business assets within, it will also provide protection for your members of staff and their personal property. This can prove to be particularly useful in buildings that have large areas accommodating staff that do not have their personal belongings locked away.

The systems that we at Planet Fire Ltd install will keep your premises, staff or residents within, and assets safe and secure. Whether you require one door or hundreds of doors over many sites, we can find a system that suits your specific requirements.
